Program Update

Program Goal

We have a program goal of $3,000 in advertising for our program. We are currently at $470.

If we reach our goal, we will have a beautiful color cover for our Phantom Tollbooth Jr. program.

Funds from our program advertising help support Journey Theater programming in areas such as venue fees, scholarships for classes or camps, and show overhead to name a few.

Think of small businesses you visit such as your hairdresser, vet, or auto mechanic.
Maybe they would like to place an ad in our program and have it seen by the many people coming to see our show!

If you would like to place an ad, or know of a business that may like to place an ad, now is the time to place that ad!

Program Ads can be turned in to the magic box at classes or rehearsals.

What is a Parent Pass?

Parent Pass Info

Parents with children in the show are entitled to purchase a Parent Pass.  The pass itself is a badge with a picture of your child(ren) and the show logo.  It's a fun keepsake, helps support Journey Theater, and will allow the holder to see multiple performances of the show (subject to seating availability) for a flat fee of $25 per pass.

Parent Passes may be purchased for the cast or crew member's parents, siblings and/or grandparents only, and each pass comes with a reserved seat in the parent pass section on Opening Night.   For all other performances, the Parent Pass holder may sign up to use an available, unsold seat.  These seats will be assigned by the box office committee just before the performance starts, by giving each pass holder on the list a ticket for an open seat, as available, in the order sign-ups were received.  In the event of a sold out performance, seats will not be available for Parent Passes.

If the Pass holder is working for his or her committee on Opening Night and will be unable to see that performance, they may reserve the seat for another performance.  Please contact the office as early as possible to make these arrangements - by email at b.maxwell@journeytheater.org, or by phone at
360-750-8550.

Parent passes are not guaranteed specific seats, therefore, they may not be used to sit with paid ticket holders.  Parent Pass holders wanting to sit with family or friends attending a performance will need to purchase a ticket with that group.

Please make a note of the deadline for Parent Pass orders, as late orders won't be accepted.

Thank you for your participation and support for this Journey Theater show!

JOURNEY THEATER ARTS GROUP PRESENTS THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH JR.
Youth Theater Production Runs Two Weekends – November 1-2 and November 8-10
At Fort Vancouver High School Auditorium

VANCOUVER, WA – September 20, 2013 – Journey Theater Arts Group presents THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH JR. Norton Juster’s beloved children’s book is given full musical treatment in this acclaimed stage version of the modern tale of a boy who must save the princesses Rhyme and Reason and reunite the brother Kings who rule over the cities of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis. Aided by a trusty time-keeping dog, Tock, Milo successfully brings harmony to the Land of Wisdom and learns many things about words and numbers along his journey. Perhaps the most important lesson he takes with him, however, is that everything we learn has a purpose and whatever we do affects everything and everyone. When he returns home, he realizes there is never a reason to be bored in a world full of so many things to discover.

With a book adapted by Mr. Juster himself, witty lyrics full of wordplay by Sheldon Harnick (FIDDLER ON THE ROOFSHE LOVES ME) and a melodious score by Arnold Black, THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH JR. is an endearing show that audiences of all ages will find appealing.

Performances are November 1-10, 2013 at the Fort Vancouver High School Auditorium.  Tickets are on sale now at JourneyTheater.org or by calling 360.750.8550.  Pre-sale adult tickets are $12.  Youth and senior tickets are $10.  The Saturday, November 2nd 7 p.m. showing is a “family day” performance with all tickets $10 in advance.  Tickets for all performances will be $3 more at the door.

School Day Performances are scheduled for Wednesday, November 6th at 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.  Tickets are $6 each for groups of 10 – 99 and $5 each for groups of 100 or more, with one free ticket for every 15 purchased.  Call our office to arrange to bring your class or home school group!
